A CEO recently told his entire company that they weren't doing their job...

It was a harsh critique. It was also a wake-up call.

The story came from a longtime client and good friend of mine. He shared how this CEO – who runs a massive corporation – brought in consultants to improve efficiency.

The conclusion was clear...

If employees weren't using artificial intelligence ("AI") at least 20 times a day, they weren't doing their jobs.

This idea resonated with me. And it's not just about AI tools making your work easier.

It's about using AI consistently to unlock its full potential and fundamentally change how we work.

Today, we'll take a deeper look at this idea – including ways you can integrate AI into your daily routine to maximize its impact...

Think of AI as a full-time digital intern...

AI tools are there to help. However, like any intern, they need guidance. And the better you are at giving instructions, the better the output.

Over the past few months, I've started building a library of prompts for tasks like researching stocks, analyzing markets, and preparing presentations.

These prompts keep evolving as I refine them, which means the results just keep getting better.

I'll share a few of the prompts I use on a daily basis in a moment.

For now, know that AI isn't just about saving time. It's about doing your work... better.

Each tool has its own strengths...

ChatGPT is great for detailed analyses. Gemini Pro is a powerhouse for brainstorming. And X platform's Grok-2 is particularly helpful for accessing real-time information.

You can draft e-mails and summarize documents... create presentations and come up with project plans... and analyze data and stay up to date on current events.

When you use the right tool for the right task, you uncover insights faster, work more efficiently, and free up time for high-impact projects.

Consistency is key...

Using AI occasionally won't cut it. To truly master these tools, you need to use them regularly.

That 20-times-a-day benchmark might seem like a lot. Yet, it's how you learn what AI does well, where it falls short, and whether you need to adjust your prompts.

You'll also become more attuned to common pitfalls... like when AI "hallucinates," or provides incorrect or misleading results.

The only way to spot and fix these issues is through regular use.

Think of it as a feedback loop... The more you use AI, the better your prompts get, and the better your results become.

At Altimetry, we're encouraging everyone to share how they're using AI...

Managers make it a point to ask their teams what's working, what isn't, and what new strategies they've tried. Weekly meetings now include time to discuss AI use and share ideas.

This collaboration isn't just improving individual skills – it's driving innovation across the company.

Here are a few examples of the AI prompts I've started using in my own work. These are tasks that used to take hours and can now be done in minutes...

• Prompt: Explain how [company] makes money in simple language. Does it sell a product, generate recurring revenue, or rely on contracts?

This is one of the first things I do when researching a company. If you don't understand exactly how a business generates its revenue, it's hard to feel confident about investing in it.

AI helps cut through the jargon and makes it easy to get to the core of a company's operations.

• Prompt: Look for patterns among the companies in our portfolio that have performed well recently. Are there any similarities in their strategies, industries, or financials?

This kind of analysis helps connect the dots.

AI can reveal trends you might not have spotted in your very own portfolio. It can offer insights into what's working... and give you ideas about how to replicate that success in other investments.

• Prompt: Identify the macroeconomic factors currently shaping [industry/sector], along with how they might influence growth over the next year.

Instead of spending hours and hours poring over reports, you can use AI to home in on the key drivers in the current economic environment and figure out what lies ahead.

It's an incredible way to stay ahead of the curve while saving valuable time.

These are just a few ways I've integrated AI into my daily work. The beauty of these tools is that they adapt to your needs – whatever they may be.

The more specific and thoughtful your prompts, the better the results. And over time, you'll find yourself asking smarter questions and unlocking even deeper insights.

I challenge you to make AI an essential part of your workflow...

Treat AI tools like Gemini and ChatGPT as your full-time digital intern.

Train them. Refine them. Use them often.

The payoff is transformational. Not only will you save time and uncover new insights, you'll also develop a deeper understanding of the tools shaping the future of the workplace.

You'll be amazed at the results.

Wishing you love, joy, and peace,

Joel
